i feel so conflicted about people reposting from pixiv like yo that aint cool if the artist doesn’t want you to repost their work but ty for sharing this with me so i can watch the artist on pixiv (because yeah i have reverse image search).
and if the artist deletes the work it’s still floating around the void that is tumblr and i can still see it but DANG I feel bad

whispers i completely agree with you but the pixiv thing is just a rumour after someone misinterpreted a thread on 2chan or smth. pixiv isn’t consider shutting down its service to western users.
otherwise, why would they publish a website for english pixiv users? oh, did i mention there’s also a spanish version of pixiv as well?
HOWEVER someone of the repercussions includes artists deleting their work and leaving the site which is a BIG PROBLEM because it’s damaging pixiv reputation. artists get discouraged to post their art and your favourite fanartist just might consider deleting their account if their art KEEPS GETTING REPOSTED WITH OR WITHOUT SOURCE.
